As with a lot of Danish towns there is a castle! This castle, Sonderborg Castle is beautiful. It was built in 1200 and re-built in 1550 into a renaissance 4 wing building. The castle tells the story of the area from the middle ages and the re-unification of the area with Denmark in 1920, it is really interesting and shows a wonderful insight to the area.
This venue has the bonus of an airport in Sonderborg that can connect the town with Copenhagen and offers several flights per day from Copenhagen, Berlin, Frankfurt, Nuremburg and Stuttgart!
There is a choice in Sonderborg to marry either in the stunning town hall or in two separate hotels. Mondays - Thursdays at Sonderborg town hall Fridays, odd Fridays at Hotel Norherredus and even Fridays at Det Gmale Radhus. Both are gorgeous although different in styles. Please take a look and see the options that are open to you.
